Lewis & Grey is a strategic advisory firm operating at the intersection of technology and law and behavioral finance. We are a reputation defense firm that treats public perception as a financial asset. Our mandate is to align public perception with operational reality through a methodology of neuro linguistic reputation defense. We serve a client base that demands absolute confidentiality including venture capital firms, sovereign entities, and Fortune 500 executive committees.

The Engagement Manager for Special Situations is the primary tactical lead for our most volatile accounts. You will be the first point of contact when a reputation crisis moves from a risk to an active event. In this role, you will manage the delivery of our "Removal Protocol" and "Hallucination Displacement" strategies during live crises. You will act as the interface between our technical analysts and the client executive team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Crisis Stabilization and Triage: You will lead the initial intake and assessment of new crises, rapidly diagnose the threat vector, establish immediate containment protocols, and provide the client with a clear roadmap out of the crisis within the first four hours of engagement.
  • Operational Command: You will direct cross-functional teams, assign workstreams based on specific violations, ensure quality standards, and monitor negative content to adjust strategy in real time.
  • Client Counsel and Governance: You will serve as the daily advisor to the client point of contact, manage expectations with transparency, deliver daily situation reports, and ensure the client understands the difference between metrics.
  • Financial and Scope Management: You will manage the economics of the engagement, allocate resources efficiently, identify when a crisis requires scope expansion, and communicate value in terms of preserved valuation or liquidity.

The Candidate Profile

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in management consulting, restructuring, crisis communications, or geopolitical risk analysis.
  • An MBA or JD or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Proven ability to manage complex workstreams with tight deadlines.
  • Track record of advising senior executives during periods of high stress.

Core Competencies

  • Emotional Ballast: You remain clinically detached in the face of panic and provide a stabilizing presence.
  • Tactical Agility: You can pivot strategy instantly if data changes and understand the value of discretion.
  • Outcome Orientation: You measure success by the cleanliness of the search result and the silence of the noise.

The Value Proposition

  • High Visibility: You will manage the firm's most critical relationships.
  • Strategic Autonomy: You will have the authority to direct resources and define strategy.
  • Mastery of Defense: You will learn proprietary methodologies that make Lewis & Grey the leader in this field.

The role is based in our primary hub with the requirement for rapid deployment if necessary. We offer a competitive base salary and a performance bonus structure tied to client retention and successful crisis resolution.
