Lewis & Grey is not a public relations agency. We are a strategic advisory firm operating at the intersection of technology and law and behavioral finance. We protect the intangible asset value of high performing organizations and individuals. Our mandate is to align public perception with operational reality through a methodology of neuro linguistic reputation defense.

The Associate Principal is a leadership role within our Strategic Risk & Narrative practice. You will not be writing press releases. You will be engineering the digital sovereignty of our clients. In this role you will act as the primary architect for complex reputation defense strategies. You will lead engagements that require the displacement of misinformation and the correction of AI hallucinations and the restoration of board level authority.

You will operate in a high stakes environment where the margin for error is zero. Your work will directly impact the valuation of companies and the legacy of leaders. You will bridge the gap between technical analysis and executive strategy ensuring that our forensic audits translate into actionable commercial outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Engagement Leadership: You will own the client relationship for our most complex accounts. You will serve as the trusted advisor to General Counsels and Chief Risk Officers. You will diagnose the source of reputational bleeding whether it is a coordinated smear campaign or a systemic failure in social signal management. You will design the "Removal Protocol" specific to the client's threat profile leveraging our proprietary legal frameworks to challenge Terms of Service violations.
  • Algorithmic & Narrative Engineering: You will oversee the technical execution of narrative displacement. This involves leading teams of analysts to map the knowledge graphs that inform Large Language Models. You will design strategies to correct AI hallucinations by injecting high authority structured data into the digital ecosystem. You will ensure that the client's digital identity is resilient against deepfake vectors and synthetic actors.
  • You will contribute to the intellectual capital of the firm. You will write white papers and codify new methodologies for "Social Signal Auditing" and "Post Greenwashing Communication." You will identify opportunities to expand the scope of our advisory services by connecting reputational risk to broader supply chain and liquidity challenges. You will play a central role in business development by demonstrating our technical superiority to prospective clients during the eligibility check process.
  • You will manage and mentor a team of Associates and Senior Analysts. You will instill the Lewis & Grey culture of "Human Precision." You will teach your team to read between the lines of automated moderation policies. You will ensure that every output leaving the firm meets our standard of clinical accuracy and legal defensibility.

The Candidate Profile

We are looking for an intellectual outlier. The ideal candidate possesses a rare combination of linguistic precision and technical literacy and commercial instinct.

Academic Excellence: An advanced degree (MBA, JD, or PhD) from a top tier university is preferred. We value rigorous training in logic and economics and law.
Professional Pedigree: 7 to 10 years of experience in management consulting (MBB), crisis management, intelligence analysis, or high stakes litigation support. You have a track record of advising the C-suite on existential risks.
Technical Fluency: You understand the mechanics of the internet. You are familiar with how Large Language Models weigh information. You understand the difference between indexing and synthesis. You can discuss the implications of "Semantic Authority" and "Knowledge Graphs" with credibility. You understand how reputation impacts the balance sheet. You can articulate the cost of a higher Customer Acquisition Cost or a lower credit rating due to trust erosion. You view reputation as a financial asset.
Core Competencies:

  • First Principles Thinking: You do not rely on playbooks. You deconstruct problems to their fundamental truths. When a platform rejects an appeal you do not accept the decision. You analyze the policy logic to find the flaw in their enforcement.
  • Clinical Communication: You write with the precision of a surgeon. You avoid adjectives and fluff. You understand that in a regulatory or legal context every word is a potential liability. Your communication style is authoritative and concise.
  • Pattern Recognition: You can scan a dataset of employee reviews or forum discussions and identify the "Risk Signal" before it becomes a crisis. You see the connection between a subtle change in sentiment and a looming operational failure.
  • Operational Stamina: You thrive in high velocity environments. You can manage multiple crisis workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail. You maintain your composure when the client loses theirs.

The Value Proposition:

Joining Lewis & Grey as an Associate Principal offers a distinct trajectory. You will work on problems that have no established textbook solution. You will define the rules of engagement for the age of AI and algorithmic transparency.

Access: You will work directly with the decision makers who shape the economy. You will protect the architects of the future.
Impact: Your work will have a measurable financial impact. You will see the stock price stabilize. You will see the deal close. You will see the truth restored.

Location & Compensation: The role is based in our primary hub with expectations for global travel as client needs dictate. Compensation is structured to attract the top percentile of talent including a significant base salary and performance based equity participation.

Application Protocol: To apply submit a resume and a cover memorandum outlining a specific instance where you navigated a complex crisis through strategic intervention. Do not send a generic cover letter. Demonstrate your ability to "Delete the Noise."
