At Vadara we are seeking an experienced, hands on Warehouse Manager to work within and oversee the daily warehouse operations of our Yatala warehouse.
This is a hands on role requiring a practical leader who works methodically, remains calm under pressure and actively identifies and reduces risk while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Key responsibilities
Oversee receiving, unloading, storage, order picking and dispatch of stone slabs.
Safely handle and manage stone slabs using forklifts, gantry cranes, jib attachments, slab clamps and A-frame storage systems.
Uphold and follow WHS procedures, complete risk assessments and address hazards before work proceeds.
Activate picking and delivery dockets on drivers arrival and also process sales orders to assist operations team when required.
Manage barcoding, bin transfers and stock locations to ensure physical inventory matches the ERP system.
Conduct routine stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
Coordinate container arrivals, unloading and warehouse space.
Ensure subcontractors and drivers are inducted and vehicles are compliant for loading.
Support the Sales Team with sample packing and loading requirements.
Lead the warehouse team through a practical, hands on approach.
About you
A minimum of five years' warehouse management experience.
Experience in stone, surfaces or construction materials is highly desirable.
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven experience with slab clamps, jib attachments and A-frame or slab rack storage.
Previous gantry crane experience will be well regarded.
Sound knowledge of WHS compliance, manual handling and safe work procedures.
Experience with ERP or WMS inventory systems.
The ability to work independently and lead respectfully.
