Intermediate/Senior Accountant – Remote in Gosford

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a wide variety and exposure to all facets of work undertaken and be a part of the end-to-end process of client engagements. This is a hands-on position for someone ready to step up. You will balance technical compliance with high-level advisory support, helping clients navigate the end-to-end process. The firm has a large offshore team who do all the grunt work so you can focus on building your client base and managing your own portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• Preparation and management of taxation compliance for ITR, CTR, TRT, FBT, BAS and PTR.
• Preparation of detailed CGT calculations and Division 7A workings.
• Assisting senior staff with tax planning strategies and complex advisory matters.
• Liaising directly with clients and the ATO to resolve queries.
• Reviewing cloud-based bookkeeping (Xero and MYOB) to ensure data integrity.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal firm processes.
• Helping junior staff with any queries or questions.

They are now looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team that is CA/CPA qualified or close to completion, with at least 3-4 years of experience in business services/public practice. To be successful in this role you will need to have prior experience with client contact and have exceptional Excel skills. As an individual, you will be driven, intelligent, passionate and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
