Put your analytical skills to work. Build your career in risk modelling. At Latitude, we make it possible. That starts with people who ask questions, explore new ideas and turn their expertise into outcomes that matter for our customers and our business. We’re building an insight-led, technology-driven approach to how people borrow money. We’re looking for someone with strong foundations in statistics, maths or analytics, coding skills and the curiosity to learn. If you’re a recent graduate or early in your career, this is an opportunity to apply what you’ve learnt to real business challenges, with support to develop your specialist knowledge along the way.

Your impact

Your work will help Latitude make better lending decisions, understand how our lending portfolios are performing and prepare for different economic conditions. With guidance from your Senior Manager, you’ll help build and improve credit risk models, explore data and turn your findings into insights the business can use. You’ll:

  • Explore, clean and prepare data for analysis and model development.
  • Help develop credit scorecards and models that assess risk and estimate future credit losses.
  • Monitor model performance, investigate changes and identify opportunities to improve.
  • Support research into modelling techniques, including machine learning, with a focus on reliable, explainable results.
  • Share your findings with colleagues and stakeholders, while learning how models are governed and used in lending decisions.

What you’ll bring

You’re ready to put your analytical skills into practice and curious about where a career in risk modelling could take you. You enjoy working with data, writing code and using numbers to understand and solve problems. We’re looking for:

  • A qualification in statistics, mathematics, analytics or a related quantitative discipline.
  • A strong foundation in statistical concepts and quantitative analysis.
  • Coding skills in SQL and Python, developed through your studies, projects or work experience.
  • The ability to explore, clean and analyse data, with care and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to ask questions, learn from others and explain your findings clearly.
  • You may be a recent graduate or have some relevant work experience.
  • Experience in financial services or credit risk is a bonus—we’re focused on your technical foundations, curiosity and potential to grow.
  • You are familiar with AI tools - comfortable using tools to accelerate insights, automate routine work, prepare reporting, and tailor content quickly and effectively.

More possibilities for you

We want your time at Latitude to be rewarding, with opportunities to grow your expertise and support that makes a difference to your day. You’ll gain practical experience across credit scoring, forecasting and provisioning, learning how your technical skills can help inform business decisions. You’ll have guidance from your Senior Manager and opportunities to learn alongside colleagues across the business.

We make it possible…

  • To spend more time with your loved ones—with an extra week of paid leave each year through our Take 5 initiative.
  • To enjoy greater flexibility—with a hybrid working model that combines working from home with connection in the office.
  • To put your wellbeing first—with Sonder, a 24/7 support app for mental and physical wellbeing.
  • To access financial benefits—with discounts on Latitude products and services.

Our values—Take Ownership, Pursue Excellence, Win Together and Create Tomorrow—guide how we work and support each other. Sound like you? You don’t need to tick every box. If you bring many of the skills we’re looking for and feel this could be your next step, we’d love to hear from you.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a background check, including criminal history and bankruptcy checks, prior to commencing employment.
