We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping Department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and service across our luxury hotel and residences. This role is responsible for overseeing a housekeeping operation consisting of both a dedicated internal team and an external housekeeping contractor. Success in this role will require strong leadership, collaboration, quality assurance, and the ability to build effective partnerships to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all housekeeping functions, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces.
- Lead a team comprising hotel employees and an external housekeeping provider, ensuring service delivery aligns with brand standards, operational requirements, and guest expectations.
- Monitor productivity, labour costs, budgets and inventory to achieve operational and financial targets, whilst ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, hotel policies and industry regulations.
- Recruit, onboard, coach and develop team members while fostering a positive and engaged workplace culture.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper or senior housekeeping leader within a hotel, resort or luxury hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing outsourced or contracted service providers.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, quality assurance standards and workforce planning.
- Experience managing budgets, payroll, labour productivity and departmental financial performance.
- Passion for service excellence and providing superior hospitality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and good problem-solving skills.
