Spray Painter for automotive-grade finishes at Landells Signs, Australia's oldest signage company. You'll prep, prime and spray signage components – aluminium, steel, ACM, acrylic and timber – to a 2-pack, automotive-grade finish. Your work goes up on shopfronts, pylons and buildings where every run, dry spray or colour mismatch is on display at full scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepping, priming and spraying signage components – aluminium, steel, ACM, acrylic and timber – to a 2-pack, automotive-grade finish
  • Colour matching to brand standards and colour charts, and keeping it consistent across a rollout of dozens of stores
  • Mixing and tinting paint to formula; working with 2-pack, polyurethane and specialty coatings
  • Running the spray booth and bake/oven finishes, and keeping guns, booth and equipment in top condition
  • Quality checking your own work and pulling non-conforming parts before they leave the paint bay
  • Keeping the paint bay safe, clean and compliant – OH&S, environmental controls and stock levels
  • Pitching in elsewhere on the factory floor when the paint bay is quiet

About you

  • Trade qualification in vehicle painting (Cert III Automotive Refinishing) or equivalent commercial spray painting experience
  • 5+ years' spraying 2-pack and polyurethane to a showroom-quality finish
  • A sharp eye for colour matching and surface defects
  • Hands-on with spray booths, bake ovens and gun setup and maintenance
  • Able to read a job sheet, work to spec and manage your own bay without being chased
  • Forklift licence an advantage
  • Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
