We are looking for a MC Local Driver to join our team to carry out pickups and deliveries within the Metro Townsville area. Working with General Freight as a proven driver and drawing on your sound knowledge of WHS both in the workplace and on the road, this role is suited to someone who has sound geographical knowledge and who takes pride in their work, always considering the customer's and company’s needs.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have demonstrated experience in load restraint of general freight, pickups and deliveries
- Have proven experience loading machinery
- Have previous experience completing daily vehicle pre-start checks and driver fitness
- Road Ranger experience essential
- Hold a minimum MC licence with proven experience
- Be efficient in completing the necessary delivery paperwork including run sheets and work diaries
- Forklift licence preferable
- Super Tilt experience will be advantageous
- Dangerous Good training available for the right candidate
The successful applicant must be able to pass inductions for various sites.
