Labourforce is currently seeking experienced Voice Pickers to join our team at Metcash in Canning Vale. This is a great opportunity for experienced warehouse workers looking for ongoing work, competitive pay and the opportunity to build a long-term career with a well-established organisation.
About Metcash: Metcash operates a central warehouse and distribution facility in Canning Vale, supplying independent retailers across Western Australia. The site distributes products to a wide range of customers, including IGA supermarkets, bottle shops, petrol stations, convenience stores, bars and restaurants.
- Dry Shed - Ambient, dry goods
- ALM Shed - Ambient alcohol distribution
- CSD Shed - Ambient products for convenience stores and smaller retailers
- Cold Shed - Chilled and perishable products
Team members will generally be assigned to one warehouse area, with a willingness to assist in other areas from time to time required.
What's on Offer?
- $33.85 per hour casual rate, including casual loading
- Early morning allowance for shifts commencing before 6am
- Rosters of 3-5 days per week, depending on the shed and shift availability

About the Role:
As a Voice Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders using a voice-directed picking system. Your duties will include:
- Voice picking orders using a voice-directed picking system
- Operating an electric pallet jack (EPJ)/MHE
- Picking products within your allocated shed
- Repetitive manual handling of products up to 30kg
- Working to pick rate KPI's
- Ensuring orders are picked accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment
- Assisting other warehouse areas when required
What We're Looking For:
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Previous voice picking experience
- Recent pick packing experience within a busy warehouse or distribution centre
- EPJ/MHE experience preferred but not essential
- The ability to consistently meet picking KPI's
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- The physical ability to lift up to 30kg repeatedly
- A reliable and positive attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to assist in other warehouse areas when required
