Labourforce is currently seeking reliable and physically fit Recycling Sorters / General Labourers to join a busy recycling and resource recovery operation based in Heritage Park, QLD. About the Role:
Working as part of the recycling and sorting team, you will be responsible for identifying and sorting recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt while ensuring contaminants and non‑recyclable materials are removed. This is a hands‑on, physical role suited to someone comfortable working on their feet and performing repetitive tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting recyclable materials from a conveyor belt
- Identifying and removing contaminants and non‑recyclable items
- Placing recyclable materials into the correct chutes or bins
- Performing general site labouring duties
- Assisting with housekeeping and maintaining site cleanliness
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Following all site safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Working effectively as part of a team
What We're Looking For:
- Previous recycling, labouring, manufacturing or warehouse experience highly regarded
- Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods
- Comfortable performing repetitive manual tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work Monday–Friday consistently
