About the opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Pre-Production Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and preparing jobs before they enter production, ensuring all specifications, materials, and scheduling requirements are in place to support efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming job orders and production requirements.
- Prepare job specifications and production documentation.
- Plan and schedule work to meet customer deadlines and production capacity.
- Coordinate artwork, proofs, and approvals where required.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure all materials and resources are available prior to production.
- Monitor production schedules and communicate any changes or delays.
- Maintain accurate job records within company systems.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflow and productivity.
- Ensure all work is planned in accordance with quality standards and company procedures.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Previous experience in a production planning, scheduling, or pre-press/pre-production role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise multiple jobs and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills and experience using ERP, MIS, or production management systems.
- Experience within printing, packaging, labels, manufacturing, or a similar industry will be highly regarded.
