La Vela is a specialised head spa and facial studio built around thoughtful treatments, beautiful technique and an exceptional client experience. We’re looking for an experienced Spa Therapist to join our team, someone who takes genuine pride in their craft, notices the small details and understands that a beautiful treatment is about much more than simply following a sequence. You’ll be delivering our signature head spa, scalp and facial treatments within a calm, considered environment, with comprehensive training provided in the La Vela treatment method.
About the role
As a Spa Therapist at La Vela, you’ll be responsible for creating a consistently high standard of treatment from the moment a client enters the room to the moment they leave. Your role will include:
- Delivering La Vela head spa, scalp, facial and massage treatments to our established treatment protocols
- Conducting thoughtful client consultations and tailoring treatments to individual skin, scalp, hair and relaxation needs
- Performing skin, hair and scalp assessments and recommending appropriate treatments and products
- Delivering facial treatments including cleansing, exfoliation, hydration, massage, lymphatic techniques and facial sculpting
- Performing specialised scalp cleansing, exfoliation, massage and hydration treatments
- Using professional head spa and facial equipment confidently, safely and correctly
- Educating clients on appropriate home care and product recommendations where relevant
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring every space is presented beautifully before each client
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control
- Sterilising tools and equipment according to La Vela procedures
- Checking treatment equipment and reporting any maintenance or operational issues
- Monitoring and restocking treatment products, oils, consumables, linen and other supplies
- Preparing towels, equipment and products required for the day's appointments
- Supporting opening, closing and general spa presentation procedures
- Helping maintain the quiet, calm and considered environment that defines the La Vela experience
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure treatments and client experiences remain consistent across the business
About you
We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, warm with clients and naturally attentive to detail. You will ideally have:
- A qualification in beauty therapy, massage therapy or a related field
- Previous experience delivering professional facial, massage or spa treatments
- Strong hands-on massage technique and confidence working with the face, neck, shoulders and scalp
- A genuine interest in skin, scalp health and holistic treatment techniques
- Excellent personal presentation and treatment-room standards
- A calm, grounded manner and the ability to make clients feel comfortable
- Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for consistency
- The ability to receive feedback, learn new techniques and follow established treatment protocols
- A team-first attitude and willingness to support the wider operation of the spa
- A strong understanding of hygiene, infection control and workplace health and safety requirements
Previous head spa experience is welcome but not essential. We provide detailed training in our treatment sequences, products, equipment and La Vela methodology.
