Build and lead compliance at a fast-growing fintech.

About KPay:

KPay Group (KPay) is a leading fintech company empowering businesses of all sizes with simple, smart, seamless, and secure technology solutions. Serving 95,000+ merchants across Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Australia, we help businesses grow through an integrated platform for payments, financial management, and digital transformation. Backed by USD 55 million in Series A funding—the largest global payments-sector Series A in 2024—KPay has been recognised as Forbes Asia's 100 to Watch (2025) and PayFac of the Year (2025).

The Role:

As Senior Compliance Manager, you’ll be a key compliance partner to the Australian business, ensuring our operations continue to meet regulatory requirements while supporting responsible growth. You’ll work across ASIC, AFSL, AUSTRAC and AML/CTF, partnering with Product, Operations, Risk, Sales, Finance and Legal. This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, solving practical compliance issues and building frameworks in a growing environment — rather than simply maintaining an established compliance function.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and continuously improve KPay Australia’s Compliance Management Framework
  • Manage and advise on AFSL compliance obligations
  • Oversee regulatory compliance requirements across ASIC and AUSTRAC
  • Develop and maintain the AML/CTF compliance framework
  • Lead compliance monitoring, testing and risk assessments
  • Identify, manage and remediate compliance breaches and incidents
  • Oversee KYC, CDD/EDD, sanctions and financial crime controls
  • Support regulatory reporting and regulatory engagement with ASIC and AUSTRAC
  • Provide practical compliance advice to senior stakeholders and business teams
  • Review new products, processes and business initiatives from a compliance perspective
  • Maintain compliance policies, procedures, registers and regulatory obligations
  • Partner with Risk, Operations, Product, Sales, Finance and Legal to embed compliance into day-to-day operations
  • Support the continued development of KPay’s Australian compliance function as the business grows

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of compliance experience within financial services, fintech, payments, banking or lending
  • Hands-on experience with both AFSL and AUSTRAC requirements in Australia
  • Strong knowledge of ASIC regulatory requirements and AML/CTF obligations
  • Experience with compliance monitoring, testing, risk assessments and breach management
  • Strong understanding of KYC, CDD/EDD, sanctions and financial crime controls
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders and working across multiple business functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and practical approach to compliance
  • The ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Experience in payments, merchant acquiring or lending would be highly regarded.

Own and shape the Australian compliance function. Work across payments, merchant acquiring and lending. Gain broad exposure to ASIC, AFSL, AUSTRAC and AML/CTF. Work directly with senior stakeholders and global teams. Join an international fintech during a period of significant growth. Have the opportunity to build and improve compliance frameworks rather than simply maintain them. Grow your career as KPay continues to scale across Australia.
