Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages.
- Conduct consultations, clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
- Provide preventative healthcare, immunizations, health assessments and chronic disease management.
- Order and interpret pathology, imaging and other diagnostic investigations.
- Develop treatment plans and coordinate appropriate specialist and allied health referrals.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, specialists and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records using medical practice software.
- Uphold high standards of patient safety, infection control and clinical governance.
- Participate in rotating after-hours, on-call arrangements where required.
About you to be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner or appropriate eligibility.
- FRACGP or FACRRM (Vocational Recognition) preferred, or eligibility through a recognized GP pathway.
- Experience providing comprehensive general practice and primary healthcare services.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis and decision-making skills.
- A commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based healthcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
