Komatsu is looking for a Leading Hand - Remarketing to join our Campbellfield operation. You'll stay close to the tools and the machines while taking the lead on coordinating workshop activities, supporting technicians and making sure repairs, servicing and machine preparation are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a great opportunity for a technically strong tradie who enjoys solving problems, helping others and taking ownership of a job from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be a visible presence in the workshop, helping coordinate the day-to-day workload while providing technical guidance to the team.

You'll:

  • Coordinate workshop repairs, servicing and preparation of Remarketing equipment.
  • Support and guide technicians through diagnostics and complex repairs.
  • Inspect completed machines to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Help coordinate used machinery appraisals, repairs and maintenance.
  • Manage jobs across parts, subcontractors and other repair providers to keep work on schedule.
  • Support major equipment maintenance and rebuild projects.
  • Review repair estimates, variations and completed job documentation.
  • Maintain accurate service and technical reporting.
  • Drive strong safety, quality, productivity and 5S standards across the workshop.
  • Share your technical knowledge and help develop the capability of other technicians.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week - 7:30am to 4:06pm

Pay: Great Rates plus Allowances and RDOs

What we are looking for

You've built your technical experience and now you're ready to step up, take ownership and help lead the crew.

You'll bring:

  • A relevant trade qualification, ideally Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
  • Strong experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
  • A solid understanding of earthmoving machinery.
  • The confidence to coordinate jobs, parts, subcontractors and deadlines.
  • Strong safety awareness and pride in quality workmanship.
  • The ability to coach and pass your technical knowledge on to others.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using computer systems and maintenance/parts software.
  • Around 5+ years' trade experience will be highly regarded.

Experience with Komatsu equipment and systems such as Dynamics, LinkOne and SMAP

would be an advantage, but equally important is your technical capability, leadership potential and willingness to take the next step.
