Working from our Connors Road facility, you'll be responsible for applying high-quality finishes and protective coatings to mining equipment, components and stands, ensuring durability, quality and visual appeal.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work as part of a skilled workshop team, maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and efficiency while contributing to the preparation and refurbishment of Komatsu equipment.
What You'll Do
- Apply high-quality paint finishes and protective coatings to mining equipment, components and stands.
- Ensure all painting and trade-related work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain workshop equipment, tooling and a clean, safe work environment.
- Identify and report quality issues, helping minimise rework and maintain customer standards.
- Complete required job documentation and quality checks in line with Komatsu procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote safe work practices.
- Hourly Rate: $46.08 - $47.79 p/h base + Super + O/T
- Role Located: Connors Road, Mackay
- Roster: Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:30pm

What we are looking for
- Trade qualification within spray painting, automotive refinishing or equivalent
- Experience applying protective coatings and high-quality finishes to equipment and components.
- Previous experience working with mining equipment, heavy machinery or similar OEM environments will be highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a workshop team.
- Current driver's licence and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
