Komatsu is seeking an experienced HD Fitter to join our Welshpool workshop team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who is ready to combine hands-on mechanical work with leadership responsibilities.
Working closely with the Leading Hand, you'll provide day-to-day support across workshop operations and step into a leadership role when required.
What You'll Be Doing
Working on Komatsu's world-class heavy mobile equipment, you will
- Support the Leading Hand in coordinating daily workshop activities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team while promoting a strong safety culture
- Carry out the assembly, fit-out and commissioning of new mobile equipment within our Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) department
- Install customer-specific options and modifications
- Conduct testing and quality inspections to ensure machines meet Komatsu's high standards
- Assist in maintaining workshop productivity, quality and efficiency
- What We Are Looking For
- Cert lll Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in a step up or supervisor capacity
- Full "C" Class Drivers Licence
- Current EWP and Working at heights desirable
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management – desirable
- Ability to complete full pre-employment medical check as well as random drug testing
- Roster
- Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week
