Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of the English curriculum, adhering to VCAA requirements.
- Foster continuous improvement in pedagogy, assessment practices, and differentiation within the English curriculum.
- Support staff in developing strategies for teaching students with mixed abilities.
- Oversee the assessment processes for English subjects, including Assessment Schedules, examinations, SACs, and reporting periods.
- Lead Learning Area meetings, promoting collaboration and professional learning.
- Support the professional growth and capacity building of teachers within the learning area.
- Review student performance data in English subjects to identify areas for growth and target professional learning.
- Manage the Tier T2 Literacy & Numeracy intervention program in collaboration with the Learning Leader Numeracy

Qualifications and Skills:
- Successful teaching experience with demonstrated capacity to initiate improvements in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
- Post-graduate study or immediate intentions for future study in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
- Strong collaborative skills, working effectively within teams.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Capacity to plan and manage resources effectively to support educational programs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
- Exemplary teaching skills and practices.
