Your Role: Assistant Store Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for motivated retail leaders to join our Melbourne CBD store teams, supporting Store Managers in delivering exceptional customer experiences, developing high-performing teams and achieving strong commercial results. In this role, you will:

• Lead by example – inspire, support and motivate your team to consistently deliver exceptional standards
• Coach and develop – build team capability, provide meaningful feedback and support team member growth
• Drive operational excellence – ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including stock management, rostering and store presentation
• Support commercial outcomes – contribute to achieving sales targets, managing labour, controlling stock and minimising waste
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences – create a welcoming environment where every interaction reflects the Koko Black brand
• Support your Store Manager – take ownership of daily operations and confidently lead the store in their absence

Who You Are

You are a capable, enthusiastic and people-focused leader with a passion for retail and delivering premium customer experiences. You'll bring:

• Previous experience in a retail or hospitality leadership role
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, coach and motivate a team
• A customer-first mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational priorities with sales performance
• A proactive, reliable and adaptable approach in a fast-paced retail environment
• A genuine passion for developing people and creating a positive team culture
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and peak trading periods
