Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for more than just processing transactions?

We are a growing bookkeeping practice providing professional bookkeeping and business support services to a diverse portfolio of Australian businesses.

We are looking for an experienced, capable and motivated Bookkeeper to join our team and take responsibility for managing client accounts from day-to-day processing through to reporting.

This is a role for someone who knows bookkeeping, understands business and takes ownership of their work.

THE ROLE

You will manage a portfolio of clients and become a trusted point of contact for their bookkeeping and financial administration needs.

Your responsibilities will include

• Managing client bookkeeping files from start to finish
• Processing and reconciling accounts accurately and efficiently
• Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Payroll, STP and superannuation processing
• BAS and GST preparation
• Month-end processing and financial reporting
• Identifying discrepancies and resolving issues before they become problems
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
• Communicating directly with clients and providing practical bookkeeping support
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping systems, processes and software
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a highly competent bookkeeper who can hit the ground running.

You will ideally have

• 3+ years' bookkeeping experience
• Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, GST and payroll requirements
• Advanced working knowledge of Xero/MYOB and Quickbooks
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The confidence to deal directly with business owners
• A proactive approach and the ability to identify issues and find solutions
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
• Xero certification, payroll experience and BAS preparation experience will be highly regarded.
