Kingston Smiles is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our independent, privately owned dental practice on a part-time basis in Kingston ACT 2604. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will be at the heart of our clinical operations, supporting our dentists and dental hygienists whilst ensuring our patients receive a welcoming and professional experience. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and excellence of our practice.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by passing instruments and managing patient comfort
- Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment
- Assisting with inventory management
- Helping with reception - take phone calls, payments, direct patients
- Setting up and packing down dental rooms for the day

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self motivated, compassionate, caring
- Well presented, punctual and reliable
- Willing to take direction, learn new skills and work as a team player
- Experience preferred however open to training the right candidate
