We are looking for Process Workers, Packers and Laborers. These roles are covered under the Meat Industry Award 2022.
The work environment can involve hot or cold temperatures (0-4°C in chilled areas), exposure to meat processing conditions, and repetitive, fast paced and physically demanding tasks.
Required Aptitudes:
- Carry out repetitive manual handling, including lifting up to 15-20kg
- Stand for long periods (8-10 hours per shift)
- Work safely in cold and hot environments
- Perform tasks at fast line speeds
- Follow strict hygiene, safety and QA procedures
- Use knives or simple tools where required (training provided)
REMUNERATION:
- Base rate: Start from $25.65 per hour (Meat Industry Award 2022)
- Penalty rates for afternoon/evening, weekend and public holiday work
- Overtime rates beyond ordinary hours
- Applicable allowances (e.g., knife allowance, cold work allowance)
ROSTER:
- Monday - Friday.
- Day Shift: 5am - 2pm, 5am - 3:30pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:20pm - 11:20pm.
