Cubic Self Storage is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and customer-focused Facility Manager to join our growing business and play a key role in the launch and ongoing management of our brand-new self storage facilities in Ocean Grove and Torquay.
With two modern, purpose-built facilities being developed, we're looking for the right person to become an integral part of our business from the very beginning.
This is more than just a facility management position. It's an opportunity to help establish a new brand, build strong customer relationships and take ownership of the day-to-day operations of two premium self storage facilities.
About the Role
As Facility Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, responsible for generating new business, converting enquiries into storage rentals and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
The position will initially focus on establishing and operating our Ocean Grove facility, with responsibility expanding to include our Torquay facility once operational.
We're looking to recruit well ahead of opening to ensure we find the right person for the role.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to commence employment at our Torquay head office before the facilities open, assisting with pre-opening marketing, building our customer database, managing enquiries and establishing relationships with prospective customers.
This will provide an excellent opportunity to become familiar with our business, systems and facilities before transitioning into the operational management role.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Enquiries & Sales: Respond professionally to phone, email and walk-in enquiries, converting prospective customers into storage tenants.

Storage Solutions: Understand customers’ requirements and recommend the most suitable storage units, identifying opportunities to upgrade customers to larger or more appropriate units.

Retail Sales: Promote and sell moving boxes, packing materials, tape and other storage-related products.

Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, providing outstanding service.

Facility Management: Oversee the daily operations, presentation, security and general management of the facilities.

Database Development: Build, maintain and manage a database of prospective customers, including following up enquiries and converting leads into bookings.

Administration: Manage customer agreements, payments, bookings, records and general administration.

Multi-Site Operations: Initially manage Ocean Grove, with responsibility expanding to include the Torquay facility as the business grows.

Business Development: Proactively identify opportunities to increase occupancy, generate new enquiries and grow the Cubic Self Storage brand.
About You
We're looking for someone who is personable, commercially minded, organised and genuinely enjoys dealing with people.

Previous experience in self storage, property management, retail management, sales or customer service would be highly regarded, although not essential. We’re more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude and abilities.
