As a Room Leader at Kidz Connect Early Learning Centre, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children, families, and educators feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for children's education and recreational activities
- Manage children's behaviour and guide children's social development
- Establish and maintain good communication and a positive working relationship with the educators and Director
- Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding the management teams, the operation of the centre and the parents and children
- Attend monthly meetings with other educators and directors
- Consult and liaise with parents on centre philosophy, policies and procedures
- Support parents with questions and/or concerns in person, writing, telephone and/or email
- Encourage parent participation in special events and service operations
- Manage children's programs in accordance with their goals, aims, objectives, policies and procedures
- Regularly inspect staff are up to date with the record keeping and monitoring of individual children's progress and development
About you

- At least an AQF Certificate III or IV in Early Childhood Education Sector
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Child Protection Mandatory Reporting Certificate
- Child Safe Foundations of Child Safety Certificate
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF) (desirable)
