The Opportunity
As the executive educational leader of SRC, you’ll have responsibility for educational leadership, student outcomes, people leadership and effective College operations.
You’ll lead the continued development and implementation of the SRC Educational Practice Framework, bringing together learning, wellbeing, engagement, resilience and student success into a clear, evidence-informed approach to practice.
This is also an opportunity to help shape SRC’s future. You’ll lead school improvement, strengthen pathways and partnerships, build the capability of our people and oversee the operational readiness and transition associated with the College’s campus development. As a member of the KCC Ltd Executive Leadership Team, you’ll contribute beyond SRC to organisational strategy, educational innovation and sustainable approaches to student engagement, achievement and transition.
What you'll lead
- Educational strategy, curriculum, teaching and school improvement
- The development and implementation of the SRC Educational Practice Framework
- Inclusive, neuro-affirming and evidence-informed educational practice
- Student wellbeing, engagement, resilience and post-school pathways
- First Nations education, cultural capability and community partnerships
- Leadership, capability and development of the SRC team
- Strategic and operational planning
- Governance, compliance, risk and effective resource management
- Partnerships with families, schools, employers, training and tertiary providers, community organisations and government
- SRC’s campus development, relocation and operational readiness
About You
You are an experienced educational leader who can move comfortably between educational strategy and the practical realities of leading a school.
You'll bring
- Demonstrated success in senior high school educational leadership
- Strong experience leading curriculum, teaching, assessment and school improvement
- Experience supporting young people with diverse learning, disability, wellbeing & engagement needs
- A strong understanding of inclusive education, reasonable adjustments and contemporary evidence-informed practice
- The ability to build capable, collaborative and accountable teams
- Strong stakeholder, governance and operational leadership skills
- Sound judgement and the resilience to lead confidently through complexity and change.
Most importantly, you’ll share our belief that every young person is capable of progress and deserves an education that recognises their strengths, removes unnecessary barriers and creates meaningful pathways beyond school.
Why Shoalhaven River College?
This is a role for a leader who wants to build, shape and grow.
You’ll join a committed team who have established strong foundations at SRC. Working alongside them, you’ll build on their good work, guide educational practice and strengthen a developing school model for young people who learn best in a setting designed around their strengths, needs and goals. If you’re an educational leader who wants to combine purpose, evidence and practical leadership to make a tangible difference for young people, we’d like to hear from you.
