Are you handy, mechanically minded and enjoy working outdoors? We might have the perfect job for you!

At Kew Swimming Pools, we've been looking after Melbourne's swimming pools and spas for over 17 years, and we're looking for another great person to join our team.

We're a locally owned business that takes pride in looking after our customers, doing quality work and building long-term relationships.

We're looking for someone who's reliable, has a good attitude, enjoys solving problems and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

Already working in the pool industry? Great! Never worked on a swimming pool but have good mechanical skills and a willingness to learn? We'd still love to hear from you.

For us, finding the right person is just as important as finding someone with experience. What's involved?

No two days are exactly the same. You'll be out and about throughout Melbourne's eastern suburbs, working on a variety of residential pools and spas.

Your day might involve

  • Servicing and maintaining swimming pools and spas
  • Testing and balancing pool water
  • Diagnosing and repairing pumps, chlorinators, filters and other equipment
  • Installing and setting up new pool equipment
  • Troubleshooting problems and finding practical solutions
  • Helping customers understand and look after their pool systems
  • Keeping your service vehicle and equipment organised

There's plenty of variety, and you'll have the opportunity to learn about a wide range of pool equipment and technology.

What sort of person are we looking for?

We're not expecting everyone to know everything about swimming pools from day one.

What matters most to us is that you're someone who

  • Turns up on time and does what they say they'll do
  • Takes pride in their work and pays attention to the details
  • Has a good mechanical mind and enjoys figuring out how things work
  • Can work independently and use their initiative
  • Is friendly, approachable and comfortable dealing with customers
  • Is willing to learn and take on new challenges
  • Has a practical, hands‑on approach to work
  • Holds a current Australian driver's licence

If you've worked in pool servicing, plumbing, mechanical repairs, maintenance or another hands‑on trade, those skills could be a great fit.

Experience with brands such as Astral Pool, Maytronics, Zodiac, Hayward, Waterco and Pentair is a bonus, but certainly not essential.

We'll provide training and support to help the right person develop their skills.

What's in it for you?

  • A full‑time, stable position with an established local business
  • Competitive pay that reflects your experience and ability
  • Company vehicle, phone allowance and equipment provided
  • Training and support from people who know the industry
  • Interesting, varied work rather than doing the same thing every day
  • Opportunities to develop genuine technical expertise
  • A friendly, supportive team where your contribution matters
  • The satisfaction of working independently and taking ownership of your work
  • A little more about us

At Kew Swimming Pools, we believe in doing the job properly.

We don't just clean pools. We look after complete pool systems, diagnose problems, repair equipment and help our customers get the best out of their swimming pools.

We also understand that good people are what make a good business.

We're not looking for someone who knows everything. We're looking for someone who cares about doing a good job, wants to keep learning and takes pride in being part of a team.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to have a chat.

Sound interesting?

Whether you're an experienced pool technician looking for a change or someone with practical skills looking for a new career, don't hesitate to apply.
