Kentweld Bullbars is seeking a skilled Aluminium Metal Polisher to join our team on a full-time basis at our manufacturing facility in Sunshine West, Victoria. This role is pivotal to our production process, ensuring that our aluminium products meet the highest standards of finish and quality. As a Metal Polisher, you will play an essential part in delivering premium-quality bullbars and related products that our customers depend on. This is a hands-on position working within our dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
Operate and maintain various polishing equipment to achieve specified finishes on aluminium components
Follow detailed specifications and quality standards to ensure consistent product quality
Inspect polished products for defects and ensure they meet company standards before progressing to the next stage
Prepare aluminium surfaces using appropriate techniques, including grinding, sanding and buffing
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production progress and any quality concerns
Assist with basic maintenance of polishing equipment and report any faults or issues promptly
Handle materials safely and efficiently, minimising waste where possible
What we’re looking for
Proven experience as a metal polisher, preferably within the automotive accessories or manufacturing sector
Demonstrable knowledge of polishing techniques and familiarity with various polishing equipment
Understanding of surface finishes and ability to read and interpret technical specifications
Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to meet production deadlines
Commitment to health and safety practices within a manufacturing setting
