Where can I find my people?

Love selling travel? Know your way around Croatia and beyond? And get a real buzz out of turning a great holiday enquiry into a booking?

Well, we might just have found your people! Our client is an established international travel company specialising in some of Europe's most beautiful destinations, particularly Croatia and the Mediterranean.

With a strong presence in the UK and Australia, an excellent reputation and an exciting range of travel products, they're looking for a talented Travel Sales Consultant to join their Melbourne team.

And here's the best bit...if you're a natural salesperson who enjoys the rewards that come with great results, there's a very attractive commission structure on offer!

So...what's the role about?

This is a hands-on travel sales role, working with customers and travel advisors to book luxury Croatia and beyond holidays and travel.

You'll be helping customers find their perfect holiday, putting together proposals, providing expert advice and, most importantly, converting those enquiries into bookings.

The enquiries come to you, leaving you to do what you do best...sell travel! Even better, once you've secured the booking, a dedicated operations team takes care of the detailed arrangements, confirmations and travel documents.

It's a role that suits someone who genuinely enjoys the sales side of travel rather than spending their days processing reservations.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing inbound enquiries from customers and travel advisors.
  • Selling an exciting range of luxury European holidays and small ship cruises.
  • Providing destination advice and helping customers choose the right travel experience.
  • Preparing quotations and holiday proposals.
  • Following up enquiries, building relationships and maximising sales opportunities.
  • Working closely with a small, friendly team and taking ownership of your sales results.

So...who are we looking for?

Ideally, you're already working in retail or leisure travel and have a proven track record in sales.

You'll be confident, commercially minded and comfortable having conversations that lead to a booking. You're someone who enjoys the challenge of achieving targets and isn't afraid to ask for the sale!

You'll also bring:

  • Previous experience selling leisure travel
  • A genuine passion for European destinations, particularly Croatia and the Mediterranean.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • A proactive approach to following up enquiries and closing sales.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload independently.
  • A positive attitude, plenty of initiative and a genuine love of selling travel!

Experience with European travel products would be a big plus, but equally important is your sales ability and enthusiasm.

What's in it for you?

There's plenty to love about this opportunity...and it's not just the beautiful destinations you'll be selling!

  • Great earning potential! An $80,000 base salary + super + uncapped commission. If you're good at what you do, you'll be rewarded for it.
  • A fantastic work-life balance. Monday to Friday, with a predominantly work-from-home arrangement and typically just one day a week in the Melbourne office.
  • No cold calling! You'll be working with genuine inbound enquiries from customers and travel advisors already interested in the product.
  • More selling, less admin! A dedicated operations team takes care of the detailed booking arrangements, leaving you to concentrate on what you do best...selling holidays!
  • An international business with a great reputation. Join an established travel company with a strong presence in the UK and Australia.
  • A company that genuinely values its people. They've been recognised as a great small company to work for in the UK, with a supportive culture and a refreshing approach to looking after their team.
  • Generous leave and travel benefits. Product training (in Croatia!), 23 days annual leave per year, birthday leave...the list goes on!
  • Beautiful destinations and products. From Croatia's spectacular coastline and island cruises to European touring and holidays further afield, you'll be selling experiences people genuinely get excited about.
  • A small, friendly Australian team. You'll have the independence to manage your own sales while enjoying the support and resources of a much larger international organisation.

And perhaps best of all...this is a business where you can make good money doing what you love, without the usual retail travel headaches!

If you're a travel consultant who loves the thrill of the sale, wants to earn well and would enjoy specialising in beautiful European destinations...we'd love to hear from you!
