We are seeking experienced Project Managers to support a major acquisition and business integration program within a leading financial services organisation. The organisation is transitioning from acquisition due diligence into mobilisation and execution, with a focus on establishing the foundations for Day 1 readiness and subsequent business and technology integration.

The program spans three key workstreams:

  • People & Workplace: Workforce transition, HR processes, people and culture, and workplace readiness.
  • Finance & Corporate Systems: Integration of finance, payroll, HR and corporate applications, including financial reporting and controls.
  • Network & Infrastructure: Infrastructure, networks, end-user technology, service management and enterprise systems integration.

Each Project Manager will take ownership of a designated workstream while collaborating with the broader integration team to ensure alignment across the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mobilisation, planning and coordination of a designated acquisition integration workstream.
  • Develop detailed project plans, delivery schedules, milestones and workstream roadmaps.
  • Coordinate business and technology stakeholders to establish Day 1 readiness requirements and integration priorities.
  • Establish project governance, reporting frameworks, RAID registers and dependency management processes.
  • Identify operational, technology and business impacts arising from the acquisition.
  • Coordinate discovery activities and work closely with Business Analysts to define scope, requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Manage dependencies and risks across multiple business and technology workstreams.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to manage expectations, resolve issues and support key decisions.
  • Coordinate transition planning from initial acquisition readiness through to longer-term integration activities.
  • Support the development of an integrated delivery roadmap for subsequent phases of the program.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestments or post-acquisition integration programs.
  • Must have experience within non banking financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager delivering complex business and technology transformation programs.
  • Strong project mobilisation experience, including establishing governance, delivery plans and project controls.
  • Experience delivering projects across corporate systems, business operations, workplace technology or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, RAID management, dependency mapping and stakeholder reporting.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with evolving requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to independently drive delivery and manage competing priorities.
  • Financial services experience is highly regarded.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a proactive, delivery-focused Project Manager who can hit the ground running and bring structure to a complex integration environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating with limited direction, proactively identifying risks and dependencies, and driving outcomes across business and technology teams. Experience mobilising acquisition integration programs, particularly during early-stage planning and transition activities, will be highly regarded.
