About the role:
- Leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing technology team.
- This role is suited to someone with deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, a strong background in financial markets or investment banking, and a passion for designing and maintaining secure, resilient systems.
What's a typical day look like?
- Provide Level 3 support and advanced troubleshooting across server infrastructure.
- Maintain core platforms including Active Directory, Citrix, SQL Server, M365, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Deliver system upgrades, patching, hardware replacement, and software deployment.
- Document processes and procedures to support continuity and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organisational standards.
- Contribute technical expertise to infrastructure-related projects and initiatives.
About You:
- 6+ years in senior infrastructure roles (with a degree in computer science or equivalent).
- Extensive knowledge of Active Directory (Group Policy, Sites and Services, Certification Authority, and PowerShell).
- Experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions including AD, file shares, Azure/M365, and server permissions with best practice security and redundancy.
- Strong background in hybrid cloud (Azure, AWS) and SaaS integrations.
- Expertise with Windows Server, Entra ID, M365, Citrix VDI, Intune, SCCM, and app packaging.
- Familiarity with Mimecast, Papercut, and vulnerability management tools such as Qualys is an advantage.
