About the role
You're the in-house videographer, photographer, editor and publisher capturing the builds, first drives, and customer stories at Just Autos. You'll plan and direct content, shoot and edit fast across short-form social video and long-form YouTube content, publish across platforms, and measure what performs. You work directly with the Marketing Manager, own the content calendar, and build the channel end to end.
Location
The role will be based onsite in the office in Nambour - not working from home. (Off site travel needed for external shoots).
Key responsibilities
- Plan and direct monthly content calendars, write shot lists, and direct staff presenters and customers.
- Shoot and edit short-form vertical video for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, long-form for YouTube and the website, and photography.
- Produce customer build reviews, first-drive reactions, returning customer reflections, technical videos, podcasts, promotional shoots, and content from shows and special builds.
- Publish across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Google Business Profile, update the website, and grow audience.
- SEO - shoot content with SEO in mind and work with SEO agency to populate content.
- Collaborate with external videography and production teams on larger projects.
- Track performance and report monthly on what works.
About you
Your portfolio does the talking. You have published video and stills you shot and edited yourself, including short-form social content and interviews or testimonials. You're fast without being sloppy. You can turn out a high, steady volume of consistent content using templates and efficient workflows. You're skilled in the edit. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut, plus a mobile editor such as CapCut. You know what makes content perform. Hooks, pacing, formats and trends on each platform, and how to read the analytics. You put people at ease on camera. You can direct staff and customers who aren't presenters and get natural, confident results. You run your own week. You plan ahead, deliver without being chased, and take direction well from a Marketing Manager. You're at home in a workshop and outdoors. Comfortable on the workshop floor, on the beach and in the bush, and happy to travel. Genuine interest in 4WDs. You don't need to be a mechanic, but you need to know what's worth filming on a build and spot when something's wrong. Our customers will know if you don't care.
Bonus points for WordPress, podcast production, a drone license (CASA RePL), vehicle and action photography, Google Business Profile and basic SEO.
