We develop cutting-edge solutions empowering our lottery and not-for-profit partners to raise funds for their vital causes. We foster an environment where talented people can innovate, grow, and have fun.

What will you be doing?

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data architectures and automated pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery, including migration from legacy platforms (e.g., Jasper, Pentaho) to modern cloud-based stacks.
  • Develop and optimise data models and ensure reliable deployment through CI/CD processes.
  • Collaborate with analytics, product, marketing, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Implement and enforce data quality, governance, and security standards to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor data platform performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for best practices and innovation within the team.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, architectures, and workflows.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and data requests to assist various business functions.
  • Balance transformation projects, ongoing support, and hands-on engineering across multiple concurrent projects and streams.
  • Oversee the development and optimisation of data solutions for internal needs and SaaS clients, ensuring business continuity and cost efficiency.

What You'll Be Able to Bring to the Role

  • Proven experience in data engineering, including a leadership role, ideally with SaaS/client-facing project delivery.
  • Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data architectures and automated pipelines in cloud environments, including migration from legacy systems.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving with focus on performance, reliability, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
  • Experience or interest in the betting, gaming, or lottery industries is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work across analytics, product, marketing, and engineering teams.
