About the Role
As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining the resort's fleet of 4WD buses, vehicles, plant and equipment. Working as part of our workshop team, you'll help ensure our fleet remains safe, reliable and operational while supporting the day-to-day needs of the resort and tour operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanic looking to combine their trade skills with a unique island lifestyle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Service and repair 4WD buses and resort vehicles
- Maintain plant and mechanical equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose faults and perform mechanical repairs
- Follow all safety and workshop procedures
About You
You're a qualified mechanic who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems and maintaining high safety standards. You'll bring:
- Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics
- Current MR or HR Licence
- Experience in workshop operations and fleet maintenance
- Ability to use and interpret diagnostic equipment
- Strong safety focus and ability to work independently
