Several of our clients currently require senior civil (concrete) designers to deliver their major projects. Both permanent and contract positions are available. The roles are based in Brisbane with strong progression opportunities in highly‑renowned, award‑winning and growing consultancies. Sector focuses include mining, mineral processing and civil infrastructure.
The ideal candidates will be comfortable with creating high quality engineering concept plans, designs and documentation for projects from concept to completion. They should have experience with 3D modelling and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high quality detailed design, drawings and documentation for mining, mineral processing and civil infrastructure projects.
- Work in conjunction with Engineering, Drafting and Detailing personnel from the initial planning stages of the project through to final construction.
- Interface with the client regarding designs, providing advice and coordinating solutions.
- Oversee and mentor junior designers.
- Ensure HSEQ and other relevant client and industry standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in design and documentation for mining, mineral processing and civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Design experience for heavy reinforced concrete for mining, mineral processing and civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of government and Australian standards.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills.
