- Develop and implement communication and engagement plans supporting infrastructure project delivery and best-practice engagement principles
- Provide strategic engagement advice to project teams, delivery partners, and business stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, community groups, local councils, government agencies, private landowners, and other stakeholders
- Lead community engagement activities, information sessions, and stakeholder meetings
- Coordinate communications materials across channels and audiences
- Analyse community feedback to inform decision-making
- Identify risks to customer and community experience and advocate for positive customer outcomes
- Contribute to best-practice engagement across the organisation
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering engagement programs for infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of community engagement principles
- Understanding of diversity and inclusion practices
- Experience working with diverse and hard-to-reach communities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing content for varied audiences and channels
- Ability to analyse engagement outcomes, identify risks, and provide strategic advice
- Qualification in Communications or a related field
- IAP2 certification highly regarded
- Current Victorian driver's licence essential
- Willingness to travel across the service region
- Willingness to participate in occasional engagement activities outside standard hours and sometimes on weekends
- Ability to complete pre-employment reference checks, medical assessments, and a national police check
- Verification of working rights in Australia
