The Organisation

Good Return is a purpose-driven organisation committed to improving economic opportunities and financial wellbeing for women and communities. Through innovative programs, partnerships and advocacy, Good Return works alongside people and organisations to create lasting social and economic change.

Building on the success of the Kimberley-based Maganda Makers initiative, Future Weavers is an exciting initiative designed to connect, strengthen and support Indigenous women entrepreneurs and the organisations that walk beside them across Northern Australia.

Future Weavers brings together Indigenous-led organisations, enterprise support providers and community leaders to create opportunities for collaboration, peer learning, business growth, financial inclusion and systems change. At its heart is a simple but powerful vision: Indigenous women driving economic prosperity for themselves, their families and their communities.

This role can be based in Northern Territory or Far-North Queensland.

Work-from-home or Hybrid working options available.

The Opportunity

Good Return is seeking an experienced and well-connected Program Manager to lead the growth and delivery of the Future Weavers initiative.

This is a unique opportunity to play a leadership role in strengthening Indigenous women's entrepreneurship across the Kimberley, Northern Territory and Far North Queensland.

Working closely with Kimberley representatives, partner organisations and the Future Weavers Ambassador, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships, coordinating collaborative activities, supporting business development opportunities and ensuring the program delivers meaningful outcomes for Indigenous women and their communities.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on relationship management and will suit someone who enjoys bringing people together, creating opportunities and navigating complex stakeholder environments.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading the strategic development and implementation of the Future Weavers program
  • Building strong partnerships across Indigenous business, community and government networks
  • Facilitating peer learning, collaboration and shared opportunities between partner organisations
  • Identifying and promoting pathways that support Indigenous women in business
  • Supporting advocacy efforts that improve access to services, finance and opportunities
  • Managing program reporting, monitoring, evaluation and stakeholder engagement
  • Working collaboratively with Maganda Makers and other ecosystem partners to drive collective impact

Funding for the initiative is currently secured through to May 2029, providing a strong platform for growth and long-term impact.

About You

You are a relationship-builder first and foremost.

You bring experience working alongside Indigenous communities and have a genuine understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Indigenous women in business. You know how to bring people together, build trust and create momentum around shared goals.

You may currently be working in community development, Indigenous business support, economic development, social enterprise, philanthropy or a related field.

Most importantly, you will have the credibility, cultural capability and networks to engage effectively with Indigenous women entrepreneurs, community leaders and partner organisations across Northern Australia.

We're particularly interested in hearing from Indigenous women who have experience in small business development, enterprise support or economic participation initiatives.

To be successful you will demonstrate:

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Experience developing partnerships, collaborations and community-based initiatives
  • Strong program management and project delivery capabilities
  • Understanding of Indigenous economic development and entrepreneurship ecosystems
  • Experience working with Indigenous organisations and communities
  • The ability to work independently while connecting people and opportunities across multiple regions
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills
  • A passion for creating meaningful social and economic change

Experience in Indigenous enterprise development, financial capability, social enterprise or women's economic empowerment initiatives will be highly regarded.

Your Reward

This is an opportunity to join a well-respected social purpose organisation and contribute to a program with the potential to create lasting change for Indigenous women across Northern Australia.

In return, you’ll receive:

  • Salary range of $110,000 to 120,000 plus Superannuation (pro-rata)
  • Salary packaging options
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Work-from-home option
  • Opportunity to establish yourself within a growing and innovative initiative
  • Strong organisational support and collaborative leadership
