Position: ICT Project Manager
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $79,423 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Guildford NSW 2161
Our client is seeking is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to join their team located in Guildford, New South Wales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consult with stakeholders to identify business and information needs and define project scope, objectives, requirements and deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, milestones and resource requirements for ICT development and implementation.
- Lead day-to-day project delivery, allocate tasks, set priorities and coordinate developers, analysts, testers, security specialists and external suppliers.
- Monitor project expenditure, resource use and progress against agreed milestones, and take corrective action where delivery falls behind plan.
- Review existing systems and processes with technical teams, and manage projects to address identified limitations and improve performance.
- Oversee the selection, procurement and implementation of software, cloud services and other ICT resources needed for approved projects.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, including system security, data protection and operational continuity risks.
- Assess proposed changes to project requirements, explain their impact on cost and delivery, and obtain approval before updating project plans.
- Oversee software testing, security validation and user acceptance testing, and coordinate the resolution of defects before implementation.
- Coordinate deployment, system integration and transition to operational support, including user training and handover arrangements.
- Maintain project documentation and provide regular reports on progress, expenditure, risks and decisions required from stakeholders.
- Review completed projects against agreed outcomes and quality requirements, and recommend improvements to project delivery processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in information technology, computer science, engineering or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of relevant ICT experience, including experience coordinating or managing ICT projects.
- Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and competing priorities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of software development, cloud platforms, testing, deployment and information security, with knowledge of project management methods and tools.
