#### Containers for Change – Logistics DriverPort Kennedy, WA 6172Casual#### Job description12-Month Maternity Leave CoverBridging the Gap is looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Logistics Driver to join our Containers for Change team based at Port Kennedy.This is more than just a driving role! You'll be out in the community, collecting eligible containers from local businesses, community partners and residential customers, helping keep our communities clean while supporting the Containers for Change initiative.If you enjoy being on the road, working independently and being part of a team that makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you!What you'll be doingOperating BTG's single-axle truck safely and responsibly.Collecting eligible containers from community partners and residential customers.Loading, unloading and sorting containers for processing.Following established collection routes and schedules.Completing daily vehicle inspections and pre-start safety checks.Maintaining collection bins, equipment and vehicle cleanliness.Providing friendly and professional customer service.Building positive relationships with community partners and customers.Recording daily collection information using mobile apps and log sheets.Identifying and reporting safety concerns, collection issues and maintenance requirements.What we're looking forWe're looking for someone who is:Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on manual work.A confident and safe driver with experience operating trucks with a hoist / lift would be preferredFamiliar with vehicle safety, pre-start checks and basic vehicle maintenance.Friendly, approachable and comfortable communicating with customers.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Organised, practical and able to manage time effectively.Essential requirementsCurrent WA driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated.Experience operating a single-axle truck.Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.Ability to use a mobile phone and basic apps.Why join Bridging the Gap?Bridging the Gap is a not-for-profit organisation with more than 40 years of experience supporting individuals, families and communities across Western Australia.Our motto is Empowering People, Building Communities, and our Containers for Change program is another way we contribute to stronger, more sustainable local communities.You'll be joining a team that values caring, teamwork, innovation, challenge and empowerment.How to applyReady to get behind the wheel?Hit apply or please send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience to:Email:Login is optional, you may send application via email #J-18808-Ljbffr
