What this opportunity involves:
As an Assistant Transaction Manager at JLL, you'll play a vital role in delivering operational excellence across our client's retail property portfolio. This position sits at the intersection of strategic property management and hands-on transactional execution, where you'll support the delivery of leasing and transaction management activities that directly impact our client's success. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams to manage the full lifecycle of retail lease transactions—from market rent reviews and lease renewals to new site selections and divestments.

- Prepare Lease Approval Forms upon transaction completion, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and submitted within required timeframes.
- Manage market rent reviews with external landlords or their representatives, negotiating terms that deliver value and align with lease agreements.
- Coordinate the exercise of lease options, renewals, and renegotiations to secure optimal tenure and commercial terms for clients.
- Support new site selection and due diligence activities, working alongside internal teams to evaluate opportunities and provide market-specific intelligence.
- Manage divestment activities for leased sites, including coordination of landlord notices, lease terminations, and make-good negotiations.
- Oversee critical lease dates and key events, maintaining a forward-looking calendar to proactively manage obligations and mitigate risk.
- Serve as a Transaction Technology Champion, driving the adoption of digital tools, developing business processes and playbooks, and supporting training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
This is what we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transactions, leasing, or associated property services with a demonstrated track record of successful delivery.
- Tertiary qualification in Property, Real Estate, or equivalent discipline.
- Current Real Estate Licence or Certificate of Registration.
- Ability to manage multiple complex issues concurrently while meeting tight operational deadlines.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a strong focus on meeting and exceeding performance targets.
- Excellent client service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to collective success.
- Experience working within retail property portfolios or managing retail lease transactions (preferred).
- Demonstrated capability in using transaction management technology platforms and digital workflow tools (preferred).
