My client is an award-winning FinTech SaaS and Data Intelligence vendor that is expanding rapidly across Australia. They are a genuine Australian success story, having built an established footprint and reputation over the past 10+ years in market. They already work with thousands of end-user customers, have more than 50 sales reps nationally and are currently experiencing triple-digit growth.
As a result of this continued success, they are seeking a Partner Business Development Manager role to identify, develop and grow new strategic partnerships across Australia. This is a national, new business-focused role selling the company’s business intelligence, fraud, risk and decisioning software and data solutions to organisations that can leverage these capabilities across their own customer/member networks. Target markets will include online member-based organisations, multi-site retail franchises, associations, buying groups and other businesses/partners that can benefit from providing data intelligence, fraud, risk and decisioning solutions across their broader customer or member base.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop new partnership opportunities from initial prospecting and business case development through to commercial negotiation and closure
- Target online member-based organisations, multi-site retail franchises, associations, buying groups and other relevant partner ecosystems
- Sell the company’s business intelligence, fraud, risk, decisioning and data solutions
- Build relationships with senior executives, business owners and key commercial decision-makers
- Identify how partners can leverage the company’s data intelligence capabilities across their existing customer/member networks
- Develop joint go-to-market plans and commercial propositions with new partners
- Achievement of new business and partnership revenue targets
- Represent the company at industry events, host webinars and act as a brand ambassador
- Demonstrable track record of partnerships or channel sales in a customer-facing B2B environment
- Proven new business hunter with experience identifying and developing opportunities from the ground up
- Experience developing strategic partnerships, channel relationships or other indirect routes to market within SaaS, ideally experience across FinTech, SaaS, data, business intelligence, fraud, risk or decisioning solutions
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify mutually beneficial partnership opportunities and build compelling business cases
- Strong sales process / methodology and excellent CRM skills
- Comfortable using sales automation, CRM and prospecting tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha etc.
- Executive-level presence - comfortable selling to C-level executives, company owners/directors and senior commercial stakeholders
- High level EQ/IQ, sales determination and resilience/grit
- Polish and poise with sophisticated presentation and negotiation skills
This represents an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of a newly created national role within a highly successful FinTech/Data Intelligence software business experiencing significant growth. The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and is paying circa $160-$180k base + super + commissions.
