Join the team at JD Built Byron Bay Pty Ltd for an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-quality residential construction project in Crescent Head, commencing September 2026. We are seeking a leading hand carpenter to head up a team for a 12 month period.
Key responsibilities
- Construct and install various timber structures including walls, floors, roofs, doors, and windows
- Fabricate, install and finish custom cabinetry and joinery
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate work
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed to a high standard
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
What we're looking for
- Formal carpentry qualification such as a Certificate III in Carpentry
- Demonstrated experience as a carpenter, ideally in the construction or cabinet making industries
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
You will also need
- A valid driver's license and your own Ute or Van (complete with tools).
- A Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)
- Insurance
- Valid Contractor Licence
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
