The JBS Beef City Plant is currently recruiting experienced Skilled Meat Workers to join our Processing team in a full-time capacity. As a Skilled Meat Worker, you will have previous experience with either Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering preferably within the beef industry. You will be passionate about your specialist skills and be committed to providing a professional service. You will be prepared to show leadership qualities and provide support across the business to drive a culture of continuous improvement. This opportunity is ideal for anyone wanting to develop their skills within an industry-leading, global organisation.
Earn from $71,480 or more per year with additional allowances and/or overtime.
- Day Shift – 5am to 2:30pm
- Afternoon Shift – 2pm to 11pm
About You
- Previous experience (ideally 3+ years) in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering/Sawing duties
- Knowledge and understanding of different rotations
- Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with supervisors on improving daily duties

Located 35km west of Toowoomba, the JBS Beef City Plant is part of the Beef City integrated feedlot, processing and farming facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere. Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 900 employees with a current processing capacity of 1,100 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high-quality grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.
