JBS Rockhampton is currently recruiting an experienced First Aid Officer to join our team in a casual capacity (approximately 36 hours per week). Reporting to the HR Manager, this position will play an integral role in ensuring the safety of our team members by delivering daily treatment of injuries and/or illnesses as well as monitoring the wellbeing and safety of each of our team members.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Providing immediate first aid treatment to team members
- Assessing the severity of injuries and escalating where required
- Collaborating with key stakeholders (e.g. RTW, HR, Supervisors)
- Being the first point of contact for all injuries and/or illnesses
- Supporting our Return to Work (RTW) and light duties programs
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar First Aid or RTW role
- CPR and First Aid Certificate required
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to stay calm and assist others to stay calm
- Having an emotional and considerate patient care approach
- Team-focused mindset and willingness to help others
