Note: This role is aimed to progress you to Head of NSW Operations within one to two years. Based from our Seven Hills Head Office, the role involves regular travel across NSW and close collaboration with our State Operations Manager and site leadership teams.

You will help support consistent operational standards, drive strong commercial performance, and contribute to the successful delivery of business development initiatives across the network. This is a broad and varied role offering exposure across multi-site operations, people leadership, compliance, retail execution and strategic improvement, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the NSW business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operational performance of the NSW site network, ensuring strong standards across safety, customer service, and site presentation.
  • Monitor and report on key site performance measures including sales, profitability, costs, stock loss, margins, and audit results.
  • Conduct regular site visits, identify operational issues and support timely corrective action with Area and Site Managers.
  • Manage site compliance, audits, incident management, repairs, maintenance and relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Support consistent execution of merchandising, promotions, planograms, product ranging and company procedures across the network.

Business Development

  • Execute the rollout of operational initiatives, business improvement projects and strategic priorities across NSW sites.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, efficiency, customer experience and site performance.
  • Assist with new store openings, refurbishments and operational setup, including layouts, equipment, stock and licensing.
  • Provide operational feedback on products, suppliers, promotions, pricing and ranging to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with Head Office teams to improve processes, retail execution and overall network performance.

People Management

  • Build strong relationships with Head Office operational teams, Business Managers, Site Managers and site staff.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance, capability and accountability.
  • Set and monitor operational and financial targets for sites.
  • Support performance reviews, development, and regular manager check-ins.
  • Work with HR and operational leaders on recruitment, training, and leave.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in multi-site management, ideally within fuel, convenience retail or a similar operational environment, with multi-site experience highly regarded.
  • Established leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams and build effective working relationships.
  • Strong capability in safety management, operational compliance and risk awareness.
  • Developed commercial acumen with an understanding of sales, costs, margins, stock loss, profitability and the financial impact of operational decisions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, manage conflict and engage effectively with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership and accountability, and work independently across multiple locations.
  • Thorough knowledge of retail and site operations, including inventory management, stock control, merchandising, operational procedures and site standards.
  • Sound knowledge of site equipment, repairs and maintenance, with petroleum or service-station experience highly regarded.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout NSW and work effectively across sites, remotely and off-site, with occasional travel to Victoria head office.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary package commensurate with experience, along with a range of benefits designed to support your career and personal wellbeing.
  • Access to an employee benefits program, with discounts and offers across a wide range of retailers and services.
  • Free on-site barista-made drinks and snacks from a well-stocked kitchen.
