We’re seeking a full-time Team Leader to oversee and elevate operations within our Machining department. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, ensuring production targets are achieved without compromising precision or safety. You will be a proactive leader who can optimise workflow, mentor a skilled team, and uphold the integrity of our manufacturing processes.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and drive team engagement
  • Strong attention to detail with a “right-first time” approach to timber machining
  • Effective communicator, able to liaise between the factory floor and senior management
  • Skilled in problem-solving, resolving technical and mechanical challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in timber machining or furniture manufacturing, including CNC and 5-head moulding technology

This role will be based onsite at our HQ in Scoresby.

  • Communication: Facilitate daily Toolbox Meetings to communicate objectives, safety notices, and production shifts.
  • Accountability: Foster a department culture rooted in teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement (CI).

Operational Coordination

  • Workflow Optimization: Plan and delegate daily workloads, ensuring resource allocation aligns with production schedules and deadlines.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide expert hands-on support for machine set-ups and troubleshooting, ensuring the highest standard of workmanship.
  • Data Integrity: Complete and monitor all Daily Management System (DMS) data; analyze metrics and present performance reports to the Production Manager.

Technical Execution & Tooling

  • Traditional Machining: Proficiently operate and oversee the use of Docking Saws, Buzzers, Thicknessers, Panel Saws, Spindle Moulders, Edge Banders, and Sanders (Wide Belt/Stroke).
  • Specialized Equipment: High-level expertise in Weinig Moulders (5-Head), Tenoners, and Straight-Line Rip Saws.
  • Advanced Technology: Competently operate and supervise output for CNC Homag 5-Axis, Weeke 3-Axis, and Bacci Morticers.

We are proud of our people and their individual talents, and we reward our people right from the very beginning. We will provide you with:

  • Beautiful work spaces

  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program
  • Competitive salary
