About the role:
Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking a Hospital Cleaner at Healesville Hospital (Healesville, Victoria) on a permanent, part-time basis. Located 1 hour 20 minutes from Melbourne's CBD, Healesville hospital is a small rural public hospital servicing the local Yarra community. Working within a small, close-knit team, the incumbents will provide essential cleaning services across the site.
Shifts:
The incumbent must be able to work the following shift, with flexibility and additional hours available for the right person:
- Sunday 10am to 5:30pm
- Monday, 10am to 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform theatre cleaning to a high standard to ensure the continued hygienic use and safety of the theatre.
- Safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances in the performance of cleaning duties.
- Decontamination of surfaces after the initial clinical waste spillage has been removed by clinical staff.
- Identifying and recording any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety.

About you:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service.
- A strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to sterilisation and hygiene practice is required to be successful in this role.
- Ability to work Sunday 10am to 5:30pm and Monday, 10am to 4:30pm as required.
- Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is essential.
- Current influenza vaccination, or ability to obtain, is essential.
