Woomera DIDO Roster: 14 days on, 7 days off
Join ISS and Support Australia's Defence Force
- Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality meals across Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner services while upholding ISS's reputation for excellence and creating memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations.
- Lead and support kitchen operations, meal preparation, and food service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Senior Chef in a large commercial kitchen
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance across all kitchen activities.
Utilities and Bar
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Assisting in the preparation of food
- Waiting tables in both a dining room and Function capacity
- Clean dining facilities and common areas
- Restocking of shelves
- Support Defence health and wellbeing programs
- Supervise aquatic facilities and fitness centres
Help create safe, clean and welcoming environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning offices, accommodation and shared facilities
- Housekeeping and room servicing
- Laundry and linen services
- Guest and reservation support
- Maintaining high presentation standards
About You
We're looking for people who:
- Take pride in their work and attention to detail
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Have excellent communication skills
- Are reliable, flexible and safety focused
- Can work across rotating rosters where required
Previous experience is welcomed, but for many roles full training is provided.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Clearance
- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening
- Relevant licences or qualifications where applicable
- Defence or military experience is highly regarded but not essential
