We are seeking an engaging, tech-savvy, and self-motivated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic orthodontic team. This position offers a consistent 2 days per week schedule, split between our Western and Eastern suburb locations. For the right candidate, there is a genuine opportunity to increase days in the future as our practice continues to grow. Key responsibilities:
- Provide efficient, high-quality assistance during orthodontic procedures.
- Take great pride in building warm, trusted relationships with our patients and their families.
- Demonstrate sharp active listening and observation skills during patient discussions, accurately processing information and translating it seamlessly into clinical notes during/post-appointment.
- Maintain an efficient, organized, and clean clinical environment, including the management of stock levels and lab work orders.
- Confidently navigate the clinic's digital systems and tech tools.
About you:
- Possess fluent verbal and written communication skills.
- Can listen to a patient or doctor, whilst completing sterilisation or assisting chair-side and document them accurately.
- Notice the small details and are preemptive, anticipating clinical needs and preparing tools or steps before the clinicians ask.
- Take initiative, see what needs to be done, and thrive in a busy team environment.
- Naturally energetic and love interacting with people of all ages. Gentle and patient when working with nervous and younger age groups.
- Experience in general dental assisting, medical or dental reception, or hospitality is encouraged.
