Full-time | From $79499 per annum plus superannuation Argyle Hotel Maclean is a well-established hospitality venue located in the heart of Maclean, NSW. Renowned for delivering quality dining experiences and exceptional customer service, the hotel offers a diverse menu featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients in a welcoming and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion requirements and presentation standards.
- Organise food preparation and cooking stations to support efficient service during busy periods.
- Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation to maintain consistency and minimise waste.
- Assist with menu planning, including contributing ideas for daily specials and seasonal dishes.
- Ensure ingredients are prepared, stored and rotated correctly to maintain freshness and reduce spoilage.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised commercial kitchen in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Set up and pack down hot and cold food stations before and after service.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies and report inventory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front‐of‐house employees to support efficient service.
- Assist with supervising and providing basic training to junior kitchen staff.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 1 year demonstrated experience preparing and cooking a broad range of dishes in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to producing high-quality food.
Hours: 38 hours
Work eligibility: Permitted to work in Australia unrestricted
Salary: Minimum AUD$79499 plus superannuation
