We're looking for an energetic, hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to join the team at iPlay Broadway.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality, retail or entertainment professional who loves leading people, driving performance and creating a venue that guests can't wait to come back to.
THE ROLE
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you'll work closely with the Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of iPlay Broadway, ensuring the venue runs smoothly, the team stays motivated and every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.
This is more than just an operational role. You'll play a key part in building a positive team culture, developing people, maintaining high standards and bringing the iPlay experience to life.
What you'll do:
- Support the Venue Manager in overseeing daily venue operations and performance
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Customer Service Attendants and Supervisors
- Drive exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and team development
- Monitor venue performance, sales and operational targets
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and daily shift management
- Manage customer enquiries, feedback and escalated concerns
- Maintain venue presentation, safety and compliance standards
- Ensure arcade games, prizes and attractions are operating at their best
- Help create a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
ABOUT YOU
You're a natural leader who leads from the front, enjoys developing people and knows how to bring energy and enthusiasm to a team.
You'll also bring:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
- Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment or a customer-focused environment
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills
- A passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of venue performance
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and school holidays
- Experience in arcade, bowling or entertainment operations will be highly regarded.
